  • Cacao has been produced in Peru for over 3,000 years. Incans and their predecessors prized cacao using it in special beverages. The Latin name for cacao is Theobroma, meaning “food of the gods.”

  • Appearance : Clear, deep brown with shades of amber


    Nose : Intense cocoa beans and dark chocolate


    Palate : Slightly sweet dark chocolate and faint black pepper spice that builds in bitterness

    
Finish : Slight spicyness emerges on the long lingering bitter chocolate finish
